3D Scanning Markers, Why are they important ?

Markers reduce the possibility of losing tracking during scanning.in another word to say,By using markers,
you do not lose tracking during scanning,so the process is faster and predictable.They also ensure high
accuracy and repeatability of results.

Why do we need 3D Scanner marker points ?

Markers are needed for accurate and easy 3D scanning.
They actually solve two separate issues: difficulty during scanning and difficulty attaining
high accuracy on large object

Without markers, the scanner will lose its alignment during scanning and the software will not know how
Frame1 is supposed to be aligned to Frame2, Frame2 to Frame3 and so on… The software will try to align
all frames using the objects’ unique geometry. However, this guesswork doesn’t always produce great results
and in many cases, especially on objects with large flat surfaces and no unique geometry, even the most
sophisticated algorithm will fail.

How Far apart should they be placed？

Depending on what accuracy you request, markers should be placed randomly approximately 5cm apart for
Minimum 10cm for Medium and 15cm for Maximum.

3 pcs markers in each frame is the absolute minimum, but 5 pcs markers are recommended to ensure smooth
operations.
